My grandma always made baked custard in a metal pie dish, that was rectangular in shape, in a water bath, not sure of the capacity of the dish, perhaps three cup capacity. It always worked fine. I haven't really bean able to eat it since, I so associate it with my grandmother, that it makes me sad!

Memories like that keep her alive in you, kyle, and that's a sweet thing. Something you can do with your children and grandchildren in her name.

Cooking is like love, it should be entered into with abandon or not at all. Oregon native transplanted to Chicago....

I agree Lindatoo. When I burn something, I remember MY grandma. God, she burned so much stuff! LOL!
