I usually top my brownies with walnuts. I wanted to try topping them with chocolate chips. I sprinkled them on when the brownies when half done. I wasn't quite sure when to put them. I thought if I put them too early they'd melt or worse they'd burn and I'd be left with bitter brownies! When I cut them the chocolate chips started falling off. How do I make them stick? (I only want them on the top)

Sprinkle them on top before you put them into the oven. They won't burn. If they soften a little they'll be OK when they cool.

I put chocolate on top of mine before cooking all the time they come out fine.
Try using mint flavor or peanut butter flavored chips. or even the white chocolate chips- they are good to.
I have even use the rasberry flavored ones.

yum.

I just mix them into the brownies after freezing them and cooling the batter. One time, I mixed some chopped chocolate into some cocoa brownie batter that hadn't really cooled- and it melted into the batter. They turned out bad, needless to say. Have you seen those new cinnamon chips? That would be really good, I think.
