GrandMa Ma's Low Fat Fudge Brownies--I Hope These Really Tempt You

Ingredients

1 teaspoon(s) instant espresso-coffee powder
3/4cup(s) all-purpose flour
1/2cup(s) unsweetened cocoa
1/2teaspoon(s) baking powder
1/4teaspoon(s) salt
3 tablespoon(s) margarine or butter
3/4cup(s) sugar
1/4cup(s) dark corn syrup
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
2 large egg whites

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 8" by 8" baking pan with no-stick cooking spray. Dissolve espresso powder in a cup filled with 1 teaspoon hot water; set aside.

In large bowl, use a wire whisk, mix flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.

In 2-quart saucepan, melt margarine or butter with low heat. Remove from heat. Using same whisk, mix in sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, egg whites, and espresso mixture until blended. Use a wooden spoon, stir sugar mixture into flour mixture until justblended (don't overmix).
Pour batter into pan. Bake brownies 18 to 22 minutes, use toothpick test. Cool brownies in pan preferably on a wire rack at least 1 hour. When cool, cut brownies however you would like.Endulge yourself into this great creation.Do not forget to think of your grandmother while consuming.Enjoy
 
These sound great. I bet my Hubby would love these. Tomorrow's forecast is for cold and snow. Maybe I will try this recipe. Thanks for posting it.
 
I didn't make these for Hubby yet. Pumpkin bars won out because I was craving something pumpkin when the weather turned cold. I did copy the recipe for another day soon.
