12/8 Special - Spaghetti al Vongole

There's a ton of people in town to run the Honolulu Marathon. They usually start carbo loading two days before they run so what better special to run than a pasta?

Spaghetti al Vongole Bianco
Manila Clams, Zucchini, Vine Ripened Tomato, Garlic Bread Loaf, White Wine-Butter Sauce

I actually based this recipe off one of Mario Batali's. But he didn't add any butter. In the restaurant we ALWAYS add butter...

Ironchef! That looks amazing.

I have several buddy friends who run in the Iron Man and the seafood is a great idea. I've always fed my marathon runners lasagne or lots of spaghetti with a meat sauce. My word this looks tons healthier and now I know that I'm the reason they lost!

Looks delicious! Great idea to go with a high carb menu for the runners!

Man, Ironchef, I don't run marathons, but I'd run for this recipe--it's like eye candy!! Thanks for posting it. Yum!
