2/18/2018 -National Drink Wine Day Dinner

We're (supposed to be) having my Mom's Ham and Bean Soup today. So far, I've soaked the beans...:ermm:
The good news is, tomorrow's soup is done. :D

Tonight's Plan B ended up being a salad and tuna melt sandwiches. I made a big batch of tuna so that I could compare three different brands of solid albacore tuna: Bumble Bee, Chicken of the Sea, and StarKist. IMO, Chicken of the Sea won it fins down, both in looks, texture, and taste. Now I only have to remember that the next time I need to buy canned tuna. :ermm:
 
I made the meat mixture and sauce for lasagna. Both had red wine in them!;) I also made the cheese mixture, no wine in that.:( The lasagna will be for dinner tonight and a pan of it to freeze.

Actual dinner was grilled pork chops with a bell pepper and onion medley over rice. I used an Asian style marinade for the chops.
