Another Pleasant Valley Sunday. Dinner 6/5/16

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that enjoys cooking.

You know you can put some cream in a small clean glass jar (not sure if it works with plastic), like a jelly jar or a pint jar, and shake it baby shake it and it will form whipped cream. Saw that a while back as a tip on some site a while back. It actually does work and only the jar gets messed up. Uses up a few of the calories you are going to be eating via the whipped cream too! :ROFLMAO:

I think I'll give it a try, it takes me more than 45 seconds to clean the stick blender! :ermm::ohmy::LOL:

I never timed it, but I don't think it takes me 45 seconds to clean the stick blender. I rinse off the blender, stick it in a glass of soapy hot tap water, then run it for a few seconds. Clean enough for me (but I'm a guy).

We're going out for my birthday dinner tonight, to a local tapas place that is having a special dinner with tequila pairings. Should be good!

Dinner was just amazing. The chef is very imaginative and the evening was hosted by the bartender from another restaurant in the group of five owned by a couple of local guys. My favorite dish was the seafood ceviche with tomatillos. It never occurred to me to use them in ceviche before, but they were perfect.

Yep ladies, no Kahlua in our Kalua Pig last night. It sure was good, as always. It's been an age since I've had a Black Russian, I need to get some Kahlua.:yum:

10speed, I used Article | Trader Joe's
for the recipe and we didn't find it too sweet. But as always, it's a matter of taste.
