August 10th Sunday Dinner?

In a never-ending search for something new and delicious, I was wandering through my saved recipes and stumbled across this recipe from a DC member: Melt In Your Mouth Meat Loaf Recipe

It sounds great and the reviews from people whose opinion I respect are tops so this is what's for dinner tonight.

Just put a whole chicken on the grill, all doped up with yummy herbs, for beer butt chicken. In a couple of hours, we'll have a bronzed, tender and juicy bird to enjoy.

Glenn picked about a half bushel of Italian green beans about an hour ago, some of which will make it to our dinner table tonight.

There's still quite a bit of a loaf of rustic bread that I'll toast with butter and garlic.

And, if it's chilled enough, a slice of fresh strawberry pie with whipped cream for dessert.

I have a feeling we'll be stuffed as the Thanksgiving turkey.

Didn't want something old so I'll try something new.

Something borrowed and blue come later when I'm really hungry.

Besides I had all of the ingredients.

We'll have the luau beef again. I'm getting a jump on tomorrow by roasting some turkey thighs that are soaking in olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, s&p. I made a lentil salad to go with that and for some lunches during the week. I'm also making some tatzhiki.

We had this with green beans. We both liked it and it was quick and easy. The Country Cook: Chicken & Dumplings Casserole

Oh my gravy all over my two scoops rice (that's OMG! in my world) that casserole looks righteous! I haven't cooked with cream of chicken and or mushroom soup in years. I need to revisit that concept.
