Dinner for Friday July 16th

I can't believe this hasn't started already today. Sorry if I missed it.

We had creamy lemon chicken over shell pasta, sauteed red pepper, fresh mushrooms and zucchini, fresh veggies with home made ranch dip. I didn't have time to make dessert so we made do with ice cream.

Holy cow, don't light a match either. Is the recipe for the beans around here somewhere?

Alix, the BB recipe is part of the recipe in the link to the New York Times. It's a recipe for Christmas Eve Roast Pig (Boston butt) with Black Beans and Rice.

The entire recipe is outstanding and worth making. The black beans are the best I've had.

I had some of the veggies we grilled last night with pasta in a light cream sauce. Oh, and cake with three different kinds of mousse filling for dessert (left over from a wedding cake tasting I did today). Took Dad up some chocolate mousse and the nurses were all jealous!

This was our dinner. Polish sausage with sliced potato, cooked with butter, green pepper and onion. On the side, green beans and wheat bread.
