Dinner Saturday, 8-17-2019

I made salads and then we had leftovers. A burger (with cheese, mustard/mayo, and lettuce) for me, and chili for Himself. There's a burger left...I bet Himself has it before he hits the bed tonight.

What did you have tonight?

We were both kind of klutzy, so we went simple. We had store bought tortellini with a sauce made from garlic and pepper flakes sautéed in butter and olive oil. I added cream and splash of wine. It was really quite tasty and filling. Part of what made that easy was that I had made up a batch of minced/pureed garlic a couple of days ago and just used some of that.

This afternoon's dinner was a steamed artichoke with garlicky lemon butter for dipping, and a small fresh fruit salad.

I used my grill pan to do a couple swordfish steaks adorned with TJ's compound garlic herb butter, and served them with my pineapple salsa. Steamed artichokes with mayo/lemon/dill/garlic dipping sauce completed the meal. Good eats.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but rather by the moments that take our breath away.
