souvlaki is (are?) greek shish kebabs.

it's cubes of meat, usually lamb, that are marinated in a greek style dressing (evoo, lemon, garlic, oregano), then grilled. the place i go doesn't always have lamb, so i often get beef.

it's served wrapped in a pita with lettuce, tomato, onion, pepper, feta cheese, and tsatsiki sauce.

Yesterday, a friend of mine and I went to pick wild onions at Little Grass Valley Lake on the Plumas National Forest. It was really beautiful up there. We took our wildflower books and had a great time looking at the flowers. On the way home we picked up hamburgers at the local Mom and Pop hamburger place called the Polka Dot.
