I invited a Danish friend to supper. We had "pot o' pig", http://www.discusscooking.com/forums/f21/danish-red-cabbage-r-dk-l-roedkaal-69012.html#post948219 (DH made the rødkål), boiled 'taters, and salad (lettuce, carrots, red cabbage, celery, green pepper, red onion, cauliflower) with a garlic vinaigrette. Forgot to take the whole grain wheat baguette out of the freezer, but we got stuffed even without it. :)

It was a successful meal. My guest was pleased with a very Danish meal.

There will be http://www.discusscooking.com/forums/f41/quick-chocolate-cake-tnt-68163.html#post935807 for dessert in about 10 minutes.

Pork loin chops, gravy, mashed potatoes, fresh string beans with sliced mushroom caps, onions and toasted sliced almonds.

Thank you kades. I sauteed the mushrooms and onions in butter, sea salt and ground pepercorns than added them to the string beans and steamed till beans were tender. Toasted almonds added on serving.
