i grilled tonight. (ever so) plain chicken breasts, filet mignon, jalapenos and onions.
dw made steamed string beans and baked spuds.
i made a red wine and crimini sauce to go with everything, making a fond by browning the fat and sinew leftover from the beef, adding some minced garlic and onions, then deglazing it with a fruity merlot, and finally using that to simmer some sliced crimini mushrooms.
it was delicious on the meat, but especially so on the grilled veggies.
