I was going to make a BLT and have some soup with it, but I lost my wallet over the weekend and have been dealing with canceling cards, etc. So, tonight I was not really in the mood to cook bacon, etc. Instead I had combination pizza that I doctored up with artichoke hearts.

I fixed a big pot of my mom's goulash.......always reminds me of her. I also decided to test a new recipe that I was thinking of making for Thanksgiving....thanks goodness I did for it didn't go over well with us. It was Paula Deans Gooey Pumpkin Butter Cake. I was truly disappointed because I'd tried quite a few of her recipes and had success. Oh well win some lose some.

I've done a few of hers too. Not been very happy either and since eating there, I sort of discovered why but that's not important now as I'm posting this in case you've not tried Pineapple Casserole Recipe: Recipes: Food Network, it is wonderful

I had dinner out with my best friend last night; she had catfish and I had Kentucky Hot Brown (grilled chicken topped with bacon, tomato and cheese/ale sauce over toast points) with fries. It was a huge portion (why are restaurant meals so huge?), so there was enough left for DH to get his fill.

The trouble with eating Italian food is that five or six days later you're hungry again. ~ George Miller
