Frozen vegetables are cheaper

Frozen organic spinach is cheaper than non-organic fresh spinach here in the Netherlands. Does anyone know why frozen vegetables are so cheap? At least here in the Netherlands.

I want to juice spinach more often and I'm thinking of buying frozen spinach for this purpose.

Dunno, I'd go with not being able to get it locally grown but its easier to ship frozen if I were to guess.

It could be the frozen organic veggie is coming from China. Check the box or bag for the origin.
