There is a local store here that focusses on South American products, and I got an ice cream that was made from potatoes. It was actually pretty good in flavor, but the consistency was a little grainy. I remember Rose Ice cream at the indian restaurant. But ive never had anything as funky as those mentioned in the above link.

HaHa!!! But I think I'll stick with vanilla, thank you.

(ChefKathleen, If I have nightmares tonight, it's all your fault! - LOL!)

I had garlic ice cream once at the Stinking Rose restaurant in San Francisco. Didn't care for it.

LOL Poor Arky.
Most of those I'd at least taste, I think. The fishy ones are a bit off putting for me though.

LOL I have a friend from the UK that say the "mashies" one looked good.
I'm not sure I could handle the spaghetti one.

The "yam" they're referring to is a Filipino variety that turns the ice cream a strange shade of lavender. However, it tastes really good.

I have some savory ice creams served with main dishes. (That caviar one looked like it could be interesting) but I really don't like the cold and texture with my meat or fish. Kinda weird combo in the mouth.

Most of those in the link sounded just gross, tho.
