Shrimp and sausage paella, green salad on the side. Probably better described as paella inspired, as it's not very authentic. Much lighter and healthier than the paella we had in Spain.

The USA seems to have a National Something Day for every day of the year.

As Addie mentioned earlier in the thread, there is some sort of recognition for something or another each day, and they have calendars to the effect.

It's just for a bit of fun; as I read somewhere, "... celebrate every day ..."
Sounds good to me!

I cannot believe no one said," Let go my Eggo".

Mad cook, you've reminded me of something my dad said. When you speak to people from a different culture than yours, you should rejoice in sharing yours, and embrace theirs in your newfound knowledge.

An appropriate aphorism is that you get more flies with honey than with vinegar.

Never have Eggos in the house. We had some sort of square ones when the kids still lived at home. Goober liked to make a breakfast sandwich from two waffles and apple butter. The kid has a genius IQ, so there's no explaining it. Aldi used to carry a really good multigrain waffle in their "Fit N Active" line, but I haven't seen them for a while.

Dinner tonight was tossed salads and leftover beef-veggie soup. It's gone from the fridge, but a quart got tucked away in the freezer for a "just in case" night.

it will far surpass what we had last night!

Friday, 10-19-2018, what's for dinner?

Whatchya makin' ?
Good thing you put that ® after EGGO in your post. I'd hate to see you get sued into homelessness.

Oh, wait, I should written EGGO®. Oh crap, it's too late to call my lawyer. Guess I'll be living in a van down by the river -- may or may not have wifi access.

BTW, are you a waffle wiffer?
