I know I was a cajun in an earlier life. The first time I stepped foot in the French Quarter it was like I was home.

When I get the woolie for cajun/creole cooking I have no choice but to go with the flow.

Anyone up for a walk in the quater this weekend with me??

Fried Green Tomatoes
Duck & Andouille Jambalaya
Maque choux
White chocolate bread pudding with bourbon sauce

Sazeracs are a must!

Laissez le bon temps roulle!

Can't, chere. HH has a milestone birthday (one that ends in a zero) on Friday and we are cooking BBQ (he's from Memphis) for the neighbors on Saturday in honor of his passing over the hill. I can put on zee Cajun musique -- or zydeco-- in solidarity with you, though. And I still owe Alix a salmon night soon before July totally slips away.
