Thanks Unclechili. I can assure you though that neither my dishes or containers have any lead in them. Our good dishes have been put away until our kids are old enough to not break them. Right now we are using plastic plates :LOL:
 
Dinnerware made in the US has been lead-free by law for decades. Some dishes or pottery made in other countries, that are not glazed or improperly glazed, could allow lead to be leached into acidic foods.

Acidic foods can draw iron from unprotected cast iron cookware but it seriously effects the taste of the food.

Stainless steel is considered non-reactive. It does not give up iron to foods.

dried brewers yeast! this has 2.7 mg per 2 T. quite a lot
