Lefse,

Here are a few places I might reccomend depending on what you are wanting. I tried to put a mixture of places that are my favorites and some of my friend's favorites, none are overly pricy.

Blue Water Grill- Union Square, Seafood (reservations reccomended)
Little pricy, but you can get a 3-course lunch pre fix for $20

Becco- (Italian, Lidia Bastianich's place) (reservations)http://www.becconyc.com/

New World Grill (Mix of American, Asian, and Cajun) (reservations)
http://www.newworldgrill.com/42.html

Brother Jimmy's (southern/soul food) I go to the location on the east side, but there is one on the west side also

McCormick and Schmick's (seafood)
52 and Avenue of the America's

Lemongrass Grill (Thai)
I have been to the one on the east side and really enjoyed it, but there is also one on the west side at 7th Ave and Lincoln Pl.

Vespa-This is some of my friends favorite. It's on the east side though at 84th and 2nd

Oh, I forgot to add. If you like burgers there is a place on the west side that I love. They have every burger you can think of. It is a great place to stop and grab a burger for lunch.
Island Burger and shakes

Buckster, I'll check tonight, think better, than I'll hit you up. Check your PM maybe tomorrow cause something'll prob be in there from .

Everyone, thanks for suggestions on eateries. Anyone ever been to Bubby's in Tribeca? Just curious. It's a hang out I like, maybe not so much for the food or Windex drink, but the atmosphere.:ROFLMAO:

Been to Bubby's a lot. I like it too, but think the food is way for what you get. Nice bar.

If you like Bubby's for a hangout, I bet you'll like Walker's, too, which is also at Hudson and North Moore. Alas, my favorite Vietnamese place, Nam Phong, which used to be in that neighborhood is gone now. There is also No Moore and a bunch of other places around there than at cool.

I think I like Bubby's for the very place it is located. 1/2 block from JFK Jr.'s house. That 's how I originally found it. Happened by on "the" day.

Yes. Walker's is about 2-3 doors down from his house and was a fav haunt, as was the sushi place about a block away (on Hudson, I think). The front door of Walker's was used as the front door of the apartment bldg. on "Mad About You," so it might look familiar.

Home now, back from the big apple. will be back St. Patricks Day night, late. In Manhattan around 11 pm and I think O'Connoly's will get a visit from me. << If I'm up to it. (They get crazed there on that day!)
