Sunday Dinner - 3/11/2018

Dinner with daughter and SIL, catered by tenspeed. Fresh tagliatelle with sweet Italian sausage and tomatoes in a cream sauce, spinach salad, Dutch oven rosemary and olive oil bread.

Fresh pasta is so, so much better than the dried stuff.

A copycat recipe I came up with for meatball tacos from Johnny Sanchez's in NOLA. The meatballs are ground beef with a puree of roasted poblano peppers, onions and garlic among other things. The sauce is roasted tomatoes, onion, garlic and Chipotle chiles in Adobe among other things. Pickled red onions, a crumbly Mexican cheese, chopped cilantro, and Chipotle mayo are the other condiments.

It's been another rainy-cold-gray-overcast-glum-yucky day again,
so I have a pot of my Quick Gumbo simmering away and
freshly steamed White Rice ready to go.
My Gumbo has b/s Chicken thigh chunks, Kielbasa and loads of veg

Did you hear my stomach growl?

Wow...really impressive looking and sounding dinners tonight!

I got another ham bone from the Honey Baked Ham store, and simmered it most of the day for "ham and 15 bean soup". Yep, there were more more than 15 beans in there...enough left for lunches and a frozen dinner.
Sorry, no pictures tonight.

Holy cow....these dinners this evening!

Carne asada tacos for me this afternoon. I had two, plus a sliced avocado and that was more than enough.
