[Cooking Goddess]

I'm on strike (for the day), so no real cooking tonight. Instead, we'll finish up all the leftover veggies and pork chops from a couple nights ago.

What did you cook, or not cook, tonight?

A big roasted chicken, gravy, mashed potatoes and some black bean soup for me.

Enjoying the break from the rain (at least for today), so a grill meal is in order. Steak tips, roasted sweet potatoes, green salad.

We had pot roast with veggies and mashed potatoes. A modified Jacques Pepin recipe. Steven, or grandson, liked the meat and the gravy. He was not so crazy about the veggies and mashed.

The recipe calls for a cup of red wine so I was obligated to drink a glass or two of wine since the bottled HAD to be opened.

We had homemade pita with Greek meatballs and tzatziki. We were supposed to have some of the dolmades I had made previously and frozen, but Craig and I both forgot to take them out.

Did a Tex Mex type thing with slow cooker beans and rubbed tenderloins on the grill..winged the bean recipe, which needed some extra seasoning after the cook time was completed, but the Tex Mex rub was a winner..a bit sweet..might be better with pork chops..
