Went to my best friend Greggs house for the game. 15 pounds of wings, 2 pounds calamari, giant bowl of guacamole, pico de gallo, 3 pounds fried cheese curds, various fried rings of onions and bell peppers, deep fried anchovies, and bacon wrapped cheddar wurst. Plus numerous dips and such. I was in charge of the fryer outside, I didn't see much of the game. 30 years ago Gregg and I drank, used recreational drugs, street raced, and got in all sorts of trouble. Now we just mess up his kitchen. Like my apron?
Also, being unfamiliar with his pantry, the first thing I did when making batter was dumped 2 cups of powdered sugar into the beaten eggs. I wondered why it did not thicken up....
