Thursday, 5-16-2019 ~ The "No Dinner Thread" thread

[Cooking Goddess]

We ate. Mushroom omelet with mozz cheese, bacon strips, from-scratch cornbread, and fresh pineapple chunks. I think I took a photo, but I'm on the laptop and the phone is a loooong 20 feet away.

Anyone else toss some food back on Thursday?

I did wonder if I just couldn't find the dinner thread.

Today was the last day of my birthday week. We went out to our favourite steak house, Bâton Rouge. We both had sirloin steaks and they were deeeelicious. Stirling even had a Brussels sprout and said it wasn't awful. I had a two gin martinis and Stirling had two Long Island tea.

I found this in the Sunday Newspaper here in Honolulu,
and I tell ya,
I will not be making that,
EVER!
REALLY do not care for canned Corned Beef


And funny you should mention it,
we DIDN'T have dinner tonight

We stayed at the beach longer than usual today
and had a descent sized lunch of Tuna Sandwiches,
Potato Chips and Iced Tea, with loads of local snack
to fill in the gaps.
So once we got home, we really weren't hungry...
it was just more Iced Tea and watched the sunset

Last Night's Grilled Strip on a bed of Sautee'd Bella's in Butter and Pinot Noir, Air fries, Diced, Buttered Butternut Squash, Salad with Ken's Country French, and I drank the rest of the Wine...

We had dinner, but I didn't cook. We went out to a restaurant with friends.

It sounds funny but seriously am on intermittent fasting of ratio 16:8 so no dinner tonight. But yes for family I have cooked fish.

We went out to lunch with my sister. Had a very good grilled salmon with fries and green beans. Dinner was a grilled cheese, pickle and salami sandwich.

We had lobster dinner at our favorite restaurant last night to celebrate SC's birthday today. It was perfectly prepared and just delicious.

My BIL took us and my FIL out for dinner last night to celebrate FIL's birthday tomorrow. The restaurant has been there for over a hundred and fifty years - it's in what was then the largest town between Detroit and Chicago. We all had broiled whitefish. Yum.
