My wife lived, as a child, in Guam and Jordan. Her mother picked up local cooking methods and cuisines...
Her Mom is currently visiting, and we put her cooking muse to work....
Tonight we made hummus and tabouleh! Chickpeas and bulgur wheat soaked overnight, tons of fresh chopped parsley, fresh squeezed lemon juice....
I found some interesting sounding "Indian" cuisine marinade in the grocery storeand tried it on chicken breasts. It wasn't that good.... until we slopped some tabouleh on the chicken. Then it was ok.
But the hummus and tabouleh were really good. Quantum leaps better than any packaged tabouleh or hummus.... good stuff!
