Back in the early '80's, I had a private scuba student who owned an Italian bakery. He gave me something he called Salami Bread that looked very similar to your picture. Salami was a relative term as it contained Genoa, Sopprressata, capicola and fontina. It was really good.

This recipe is so yummy Craig, you guys should try it!

This round I used what I had in the `fridge... pesto, chopped Hot Cherry Peppers, Hot Cappy, Genoa, Smoked Ham and sharp Provolone, oh and TJ's refrigerated Pizza dough... roll `er up, egg wash and bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes.
We decided on just a pick as you like type of meal. DH was watching baseball and a movie in the other room for me.

I served this at a block party once and this nice man came up to me and said, "Did you make this? My son-in-law owns and Italian restaurant back East and your Stromboli is so much better than his!"
I was very flattered to say the least.

Yesterday was to hot to cook. Last nights dinner was tossed baby greens salad with mushrooms, tomato and hard boiled egg.
