Avast, ye pirates and wenches, today is International Talk Like A Pirate Day. What is yer pleasure to put down yer gullet?

Here on the good ship Chaos we'll be chowin' down on bowls of K-L's Chicken Tacos. Them morsels looked mighty purdy when she showed 'em in one of those photo graphs and I've been cravin' a taste of them since then.

What slop will you be servin' up to yer crew today?

Slop-whole grained bread with a little mayo and big thick slices of fresh tomato S&P.
Dh loves the chicken grape salad on bread, so some of that.

I'm baking chicken parmesan, roasting asparagus and Instant Potting a creamy orzo side.. Will also put together a Caesar salad..

Apple pie for later..

Shiver me timbers, it's Pirate day again already?! I know I've told this before - a few years back on Pirate day my daughter went into her hubby's FB account and changed the language from English to Pirate Speak. The look on his face was priceless when he logged on and tried to figure out what was going on...:ROFLMAO:

Leftover Lentil Vegetable soup here today. I'm going to have to freeze half of it - it's delish but I made WAY too much.

I had a chanterelle ( Cantharellus cibarius) hamburger for lunch and for dinner sausage in curry sauce with rice , yeah I am boring but it was a request from the daughter.

A flashback to the 70s, French onion pie with a salad of sliced tomato, onion, and cucumber.

French Onion Pie

1 9” frozen pie crust
1 3 ounce can of French's French fried onions
4 eggs
2 cups milk or a combination of milk, cream, sour cream, etc...
1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
S&P to taste
A big pinch of cayenne pepper

Par-bake the pie crust for ten minutes according to the package instructions. Beat the eggs with a wire whisk, add milk and seasoning to eggs. Remove crust from oven and reduce temp to 325F. Put half of the onions into the bottom of the crust, top with cheese, add egg mixture, top with remaining onions. Bake for 50-55 minutes until a knife inserted off-center comes out clean. Cool and serve warm or at room temperature.

Good stuff, especially with a couple of slices of toasted baguette to sop up the juices. :yum:

By the way....I'm going to repeat your slick trick from the MIA thread.....
Hi, Smokeydoke!

To find your pics, click on "UserCP" - it's on the left side of the blue bar towards the top of the screen.

Your Control Panel will come up - scroll down through the categories until you see "Miscellaneous". There will be a subcategory there that says "Attachments". Click on that. All the links to your pics should come up. :)

Happy pie baking! Stop in to say hi from time to time! :flowers:
After all these years it seems I'm not the only one who learned something new today. Woo Hoo.

Rock, that dish of scalloped potatoes looks rather short on sauce. ;) I'm guessing that they were dressed with oil and...chives?

Kayelle, swooning is good. [emoji813]. Himself swooned over the chicken nachos tonight. Ate too much. He couldn't be happier. [emoji38]
