I made my soup into kind of a chowder. It had chicken broth, a roux (to thicken it), chicken, carrot, peas, corn, diced onion, sliced new potatoes and seasonings.

Is a sliced potato on your spoon? I thought it was a dumpling when I looked at the pic. It looks delicious. I never thought of adding potatoes to my chicken soup before. I like that idea.
 
I hope I didn't offend anyone. I'm not a terribly picky eater, but some things just strike me as wrong. LOL!

Me too. We should start a thread, "Combinations that just strike you as wrong".
 
You'd be surprised how popular peanut butter and bacon is. There was a show on the Food Network or the Chooking Channel about sandwiches, and they featured that combination that was served at a diner.

My grandfather used to put peanut butter on buttered toast then add a sausage patty.
