I have a friend who is a Tastefully Simple rep. Every stinkin' time she posts something I think "Beer Bread". Now mind you, much as I might like my friend, I refuse to spend something like $8 on a box mix that requires me to add my own beer and butter. What, don't all people keep some baking basics in their house?
I made from scratch beer bread tonight for the first time - finally! I had one last can of some specialty beer we wanted to try. Normally we buy beer in bottles only since we both swear we can taste "can" in the beer. In spite of a very small culinary catastrophe the beer turned out very tasty. Himself has banned me from every opening a can
of beer again.
Bottles of warm beer don't act like that... Oh well, the window over the sink needed to be washed anyway. And the windowsill. Maybe the wall next to the window...
Hey! The Bread Was Good!
