Babe - Done that, too. I'm starting to think about Christmas cookies and even the thought makes me tired. Just walked DPD (dear puppy dog) in the park, so I think I''ll take a nap. The Christmas cookie plans can wait. 'Sides, it's too nice to work today.

Had the afternoon free so I'm baking two loaves of rye bread and some zucchini bread. Sweet bread and yeast bread gittin' along just fine in my kitchen today. Sure smells good in here. Wait till DW gets home...Hero time!

Put away some rye crusts in the freezer for future NY sour rye bread. Made a very good baugette last night - gone in a flash. DW won't even wait till it's cool.

Luvs - anyone can bake. Three important factors, as JoeV will tell you - follow the directions exactly; don't skimp on ingredients and have PATIENCE! More bread gets ruined because the cook rushes things. If you like, I'll give you a very simple recipe for a baguette, that if followed will result in an excellent loaf every time.
