What are you eating Monday May 13, 2019?

I made a quick chicken soup (rotisserie chicken, carrot, celery heart, onion, homemade soup meatballs I had in freezer and Swanson chicken stock) topped with fresh grated cheeses and toasted pecan raisin bread.
No pictures.

It's definitely soup weather here in the Northeast, isn't it msmofet? I love soup, but I am sure getting tired of this weather.

I'm just about ready to start making two pots of soup. One will be a beef-based mushrooom-barley. The other is probably our favorite soup, Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice.

We're feasting on leftovers from last night along with a tossed salad.

I drove home from Houston today, which is five hours of boredom. I'm tired. So, I'm thinking I'll doctor up a frozen pizza with some fresh herbs from the garden for dinner.

I've been craving homemade lasagna . I have the fixins' and intended to make it this afternoon but Tyler, baseball, and other issues got in the way.


I ended up with a loaded up veggie salad with ranch, and a grilled cheese sandwich.

We ordered out. I had a Cobb salad and DH had a hamburger, fries, cole slaw, and a pickle. Sadly, the avocado in the Cobb salad wasn't ripe.

We spent a good portion of the day at the beach and
usually, I make up sandwiches to take with us,
aka CHEAPER
But I haven't been feeling up-to-snuff the past few days,
so I gave in and went across the street to the
Plate Lunch Stand, L&L Hawaiian BBQ
and ordered a regular as well as mini Chicken Katsu

this is HALF of the regular Katsu Plate,
that DH and I shared ...

For dinner, I really wanted to go over to Foodland Farms
and check out what they had ...





I got an assortment of Poke for DH all local-
Tako (cooked Octopus), Ahi (raw Tuna), Smoked Salmon Pokes,
Steamed White Rice and
a Cucumber, Kamuela Tomato and Ewa Onion Salad


and from their Salad Bar, all local-Waimanalo Greens and Japanese Cucumber,
Ewa Corn and Kahuku Shrimp (oh, and some shredded Carrots, not sure form where though) all for Moi

I tell ya, it's a good thing that we don't live here anymore, `cuz I did
be in this store all the time and spend a fortune!

Accidentally took pork out again this a.m. - Oh, Well....... I guess I saved that Sausage Gravy for a reason !

Air Fryer Pork loin Chop, White Rice with Leftie Sausage Gravy, Copped Spinach with Bacon, and a Lettuce Slab, also topped with Bacon...


Couldn't decide on which way to present it , so....

It's cold up here in Michigan, so I made a big pot of posole. Leftovers were portioned and put in my FIL's freezer.
