Last Night's Pork Loin Chop, Seared, then Air-Fried, (nine minutes @ 370) with a Sweet-Sour sauce, on a bed of Peppers & Onions, Bruce's Candied Yams, Spinach...
Continuing in my quest to become more proficient with Turkish flavors, last night for dinner I made sweet and sour chicken with date molasses and apple cider vinegar. The recipe also includes onions, red pepper flakes and a lot of hot peppers, but, while we enjoy some heat, 12 hot peppers in one dish is a bit much [emoji38] So I used half the amount of pepper flakes called for, 1 minced jalapeño and one each red and yellow bell peppers. I served it over orzo and rice pilaf with steamed green beans seasoned with Penzeys Za'atar seasoning. It was very tasty, but next time I'll increase the heat a bit.
