Paczki= Polish for Donut.

They're big, heavy, filled donuts (usually some sort of fruit jelly)
A dozen of them probably weigh in at nearly 5 lbs.

Very different from crusciki. Somehow, they got tied in with the Fat Tuesday thing, and now people refer to Fat Tuesday as Paczki Day, although they really aren't special donuts for the occasion.

(The little Polish market I've found carries them year round)

But they are REALLY good (Thanks to the fact that they are filled to near bursting with fillings, and all the lard that goes into making them...).
