Sometimes when I don't have much time or money (which is most of the time), I brown some ground beef, dump a can of mushroom soup and a can of mushrooms into it, heat through, and serve over potatoes. Sometimes I add sour cream and serve it over noodles.

  • Beef rice-a-roni mixed with cooked ground beef
  • Hot dogs or chili dogs
  • Refried bean and cheese burritos
  • Like piccolina: rice, sesame oil or soy sauce, green onions, and toasted sesame seeds
  • peanut butter and jelly sandwich
  • pasta with pre-made pesto, pine nuts, and parmesan cheese
  • hamburger gravy over instant mashed potatoes

Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.

PBJs always come to my rescue. Oh, you said "cook", didn't you?

Good ole Bisquick for some pancakes, waffles, or impossible cheeseburger pie.

How did I forget...

Baked Ziti

This is one of the easiest recipes ever. There's also a no-boil lasagna recipe.

This one looks yummy.
