Dinner was my favorite cut of beef - NY strip steak (cooked on stove top CI grill pan), mushroom caps sautéed in butter and Maggi sauce and Knorr's butter and herb rice side dish.

A one pot meal. Mediterranean chicken with fennel, garlic, lemon slices, nicoise olives, capers, chicken stock, cream, parm, and fettuccine. It was pretty darn good!

I barely got home ahead of the caregiver. I made a Hawaiian-inspired chicken dish in the pressure cooker with pineapple and orange segments, pineapple-infused rice, purple bush beans from the garden. Got it plated by the time the caregiver had Mom to the table. And, the kitchen was cleaned up except for the plates and cutlery.

Sounds and looks delicious!

Swordfish was on sale today so that was our dinner for tonight.

I grilled it and served it with potato and corn.

DH has been out golfing with a friend. It's become a tradition that he picks up dinner somewhere on his way home. Tonight is pizza from our local pizza place. Looking forward to it.

Definitely not Cracker Barrel's "meat plus three", our grilled chicken (rotisserie seasoning rub) was accompanied by steamed broccoli, sauteed farm stand green and yellow squash, and steamed wax beans. Bonus: a couple of tater tots at Himself's request.

Just put WAY too much salt on it, and it'll be CrackerBarrel.

OMGoodness....what fabulous looking dinners this evening! :yum:

I had a nibble tray this afternoon....artichoke hearts, celery and hummus, beets, pickles, olives, deviled eggs, various cheeses and crackers. I was figuring on a pork chop, mashed 'taters and veggies, but didn't get to it in time, so hopefully that will be for tomorrow. :)

We ordered out. I had a Cobb salad and Stirling had a hamburger and a small Caesar salad. I made stewed rhubarb for dessert.

Late night cake night. Magnolia style.
Whole cake gone in 1 sitting :)
Not sure exactly what time it came out so this is a half today/half tomorrow eat. Definitely ate the batter yesterday if not the cake.
