Local-Style Kaukau (that's Hawaiian for grinds)

This may sound odd, but stay with me for a minute here...

I made Macaroni Salad this morning for our dinner
002.JPG
As I was taking a small spoonful to taste for seasoning,
I heard this little voice say, (and no I'm not nuts )
Tuna Mac Salad, YEAH!!
HEH!
I'd made Tuna Salad for lunch yesterday and there's still plenty left

In certain parts of The Hawaiian Islands,
folks mix canned Tuna into their Mac Salad and use it as a main dish
or really hearty side dish. We LOVE our Mac Salad (more to the point we love mayo!!).
So,

seeing as DH does not care for Mac Salad, and will sometimes eat
Tuna Salad, I made myself a small bowl of the combined two ingredients.
*sigh* *very happy little Hawaiian gal here*
That was a very ONO (delicious in Hawaiian) breakfast,
thank you very much!

CG....your breakfast tea picture looks so inviting.

And...your little cream pitcher...I have one almost exactly like that! It was my grandmother's, and I keep it in the curio/antique cabinet with other treasures. I've never seen another one like it until now.

This morning's brunch by request of DH.
Costco croissants stuffed with leftover Easter Ham,
melted Swiss Cheese and Scrambled Eggs with Chives.

When ever DH comes with me to Costco, he ALWAYS
puts a container of their fresh Croissants into the wagon!
When we get home, I package them up into zipper bags in
3 counts (one for me and two for him ;)).
This morning when I got up at my usual time today, (DH is a super early riser, up at the crack of dawn, not me I tell you!!) I found that one of the croissants where missing :ermm::rolleyes::LOL:
Me: DH, did you have your breakfast already?
DH: why?
Me: there's a croissant missing
DH: oh, no that was my midnight snack :D

We were up early today and I was looking for breakfast stuff ...
Hmmm, what's this?
Only 2 eggs left, okay ... one for me and one for you DH.
I made a Hash with leftover-leftovers from Sunday's Supper of
our New Years Roast, baked Potato and then added some
Sweet Mini Peppers, Green Onions that needed to be used and
an over-med egg atop it all
:yum:

Yummy Kgirl! my kind of breakfast!

I stood in front of the fridge this morning - waiting to hear my name called - and so they did!
slices of zucchini, fairly large mushroom (sliced), last thick slices of some eggplant, handful of baby spinach. all done up in a mix of bacon fat and ghee.
poached egg on 1/2 slice of bio-sourdough bread, other 1/2 toasted.

Forgot some sad looking tomatoes that I should have thrown in the pan... but then there's still tomorrow so not to worry!
