DH has been smoking a pork butt since 8 this AM so we are having Pulled Pork with vinegar sauce, Grits and Greens casserole, Slaw, Baked Beans and Mile High Strawberry Pie for dessert. I can hardly wait !!!!

Well, my son made it home today from college. I had thought we would be grilling steaks, corn-on-the-cob and portobello mushrooms for the big Welcome Home Dinner. But when I was talking w/ him a few min. ago, he said he wanted to find an IMAX theater and go see Star Trek again w/ his dad and sis (I'm not nuts for sci-fi). SO, if that happens, they will get popcorn and I will have soup, lol. But we WILL have that steak dinner this weekend, sometime when it's not raining.

pork chops , used panko crumbs and fried them. white beans and a cabbage noodle thing. sorta weird combo but tasty

Poor Man's Lobster with baked potato and salad...YUM!
monk fish is a good sub for lobster. never soaked in sugar water though. it is a very mild white fish .
