I like goldens for eating, not mushy if they are fresh and haven't been sitting in cold storage. And fuji's for eating also, but will take a good red delicious also. For baking, I like granny smiths - they consistently work great for me! Happy eating!!

I recently started buying fuji apples and I love them. YUM. I was on a big gala apple kick. But now it's another apple's turn "lol". I'm interested in trying the pink lady, but don't think there sold around here. I live in NH

Hey, Granny smiths do rule the ship for baking....but I love Fujis and Galas just plain.

Kadesma,...you have a mini orchard!? I want one! Are they easy to grow? I actually have a very old yellow delicious tree which I love, but will be moving one of these days here and want to plant some new ones. Hopefully gala and such. Thanks!
