Greek, Mexican, Sushi, Steak, Italian, pizza,... all good!

What we look for when dinning out is a nice clean place with friendly (but, not too friendly wait staff, I hate it when they sit down with you at the table like they are your best friend.) and good food ... But, mostly we look for QUIET. We really don't go out to eat very often and when we do we like to be able to talk to each other and really pay attention to each other. It's hard to do with 50 other people all chatting and dishes clanging and wait staff yelling to each other across the room. We often eat dinner at 4 in the afternoon so that we can be more alone. :)

Italian, Indian & French are my favourites, I don't mind some of the chains when we are eating as a family (they are still far, far better than most of the 'family' restaurants we went to back in the UK), but when it's just hubby & me, then I prefer to go to a really good restaurant.

Paint.

While I adore steaks, italian and mexican, I chose the ominous buffet. After all, what could be better than the best buffet Vegas has to offer? (that way I can have 'em all at once!)

My favorite buffet in Reno, NV is Toucan Charlie's at the Atlantis Resort and Casino. They have the best salad bar, carving station, Mexican, Mongolian BBQ, etc. See jkath you are right you can get it all at once. :)

I chose one, but probably because it's the one I have the hardest time finding and miss the most now that I live in small-town midwest. In fact, I like to go to small, ethnic, Mom & Pop places, and the cuisine itself follows. Depending on the town it's been Asian, North African, Greek, Italian, French, Indian .... but the main thing is the kind of place where when you go a couple of times you know the family and the food is what they like, and the owner is likely to sit down and chat with you for awhile.

Voted Other. We definitely prefer a good seafood place, but not something like the Red Lobster chain tho'. We found a really good seafood place in Rehoboth Beach near us that makes the absolutely best crab imperiale, with lots of large crab hunks, we have ever had. We tend to pick places that fix foods I don't generally make at home, like the above, and never ever order steaks or chicken type dishes, nor generally pasta meals. I make enough of that kind of stuff at home, so like to get something different when eating out.

Constance, I've never been to Benny's, the only place I've gone to out there is New World.. to see concerts.

I love Italian and seafood places. i also enjoy Lebanese although its harder to find.
I must admit though i voted buffet cause you can pick and choose- seafood buffets are my favourite- prawns by the hundreds!!:pig:
