thank you VB. the sauce is the lentil soup from the night before, tomato sauce, red wine and beef broth. bring to a boil and drop in the linguini cook till pasta absorbs liquid and is tender. so the pasta is cooked in the soup, tomato, wine and broth. the pasta has so much more flavor then just being boiled in water and topped with the lentil sauce.
