What's for Dinner Friday, Jan 23rd?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that enjoys cooking.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I have some smoked beef sausages from a local grocery store with a great meat/smoker department. Will probably fry them up with lots of onion and some potatoes.

thawing out a hunk of top round that I will probably marinate in something later. Either baked or roasted taters and some veg.

I also used up some raggedy-looking apples to make a tart with the single refrigerated pie crust I had, but I don't think I turned the oven on hot enough and it's looking kind of feeble right now.

we're going to a casino later tonight and they have a nice steakhouse there, so its a big filet mignon for yours truly and a big glass of red wine.

I think PieSusan just answered it for me.

I cant decide either! I am only cooking for myself tonight cause the wife will be at a friends.

I want to try something new but not sure what to do. I guess I got a few hours to find something.

I have some rice pilaf with toasted almonds I made yesterday. So I think we'll have that and some teriyaki burger patties and stir-fried vegetables.

All I really want is my cocktail...Rob Roy tonight

After a couple of those I'm making a few pizzas.

1. fresh tomato slices with fresh mozzarella and basil

2. chopped clams over the sauce, grana padano cheese and toasted breadcrumbs

3. artichokes, black olives and pepperoni

I jacked a few jumbo chocolate peanut butter cookies from work before leaving...if anyone has any interest in something sweet later.

Pork chops with a black currant glaze, a nice salad, maybe some fresh biscuits. For dessert, Muey (that does mean "many" right?) Coronas-TGIF!!

I changed my mind, made chili instead. It's cold and snowy here! May save the sausages for brunch tomorrow instead.

Well, as a prelude to PIE, I wound up making a sub sandwich of prosutitti (ham encrusted with cracked black pepper), provolone, pepper rings, shredded lettuce and sundried tomatoes (since I didn't make it to the Farmer's Market Wed. for fresh) with homemade italian salad dressing.
I just finished a small piece of pie (blueberry)
I'm stuffed and didn't dirty a pot. Life is GOOD!
