On days when DH works afternoons we have changed our big meal to lunch. I am making the super crunchy fried chicken which was posted a few days ago. I still have broccoli salad and may even do some oven fries to go with it.

What are you all having?

we're having broiled lamb chops (i loaded up when the small loins went on sale for $6/lb, and the small rib chops $7/lb), baked potatoes with sour cream, and baby peas.

Making a cheese pizza with fresh mozerlla and the last of the fresh basil from the summer. I managed to keep 2 plants alive in the greenhouse.

braised lamb shanks provencale?

LOL... do you think it's tooooo complicated for someone like me to serve to the BEST Persian cook that I know? I'm just a "little" nervous? Think I should go to Micky D's and get some big Macs as a back up?

In the mood for corned beef and cabbage. I have it simmering in the enamel dutch oven. Crusty bread to go with it.

Go for it! It doesn't look too complicated at all.

We usually have fish on Friday. Wow pds, what a menu! I've always been afraid to cook lamb! Good for you, it sounds delish!

Sounds delicious! Actually, I just bought some lamb shanks to make a dish very similar to this including garlic mashed. Let us know how it turned out. :)

We are having chicken divan crepes and whatever else.

It's been a positively hellish week and I'm very happy to be looking forward to cocktail hour.

We're having grilled chicken slices (with a pesto rub) on italian toast.

Fresh mozzarella with sundried tomatoes and black olives

Roasted potato topped with sour cream and caviar

Ricotta sallade ( a firm slicing ricotta ) with fig preserves

Dates stuffed with pepperoni and honey goat cheese.

Fabulous Philly pretzels

Johnny Walker Black tonight. Neat.
