It is a bread that my son baked the other night..I had never heard of it.
It was baked in a cast iron dutch oven (inside of an oven)..It had a slight rosemary flavor...there were a few sprigs baked on top...It was fantastic...I didn't get to eat very much of it as I have to watch my bread intake (carbs) It was fantastic...I have not baked the NYT bread recipe but it may kinda like that...I dunno....I would be guessing.
