What's for dinner? Sunday 9-23-18

Reading the soup threads got my mouth watering, so I'm making a half recipe of Zuppa Toscana this afternoon. Smells so good in here. A slice of toasted sourdough bread for sopping on the side.

What's on your plate?

Tonight's fare includes BLTs on homemade sandwich bread and egg and lemon soup. Yeah, it's that chilly.

I made a big brunch. We had ham and cheese omelet with a sprinkle of chives, fruit salad, and pancakes. We might be ready to eat again by Wednesday.

Aw, who am I kidding? One good burp and we'll be ready to go again. Except I'm done cooking for the day.

I cut up a whole chicken with my new two piece Tansung cooking shears and they worked like a charm.
I'll be doing the chicky pieces on the grill with the V smoker full of apple wood chips.
I seasoned it with Hawaiian seasoning salt with vinegar and peppers, and I'll brush on some TJ's Korean barbecue sauce near the end.
We'll also have some Tater Tots and salads.

Oh WOW does that ever look good Roch!

One of my favorite meals right there, Roch. Have to have mashies, carrots and gravy with short ribs! That looks delicious.

I have ambitious plans for dinner, but also have a pinched sciatic nerve, so I'll have to decide (soon) whether to cook or not to cook. Flat on my back on the floor, I have zero pain, but cooking from there would be a bit tricky.

I'll let you know what happens.
