My body is betraying me this weekend, and my beloved has had to do the cooking today.
Tonight, we're having fillet mignon, baked potato, and spinach salad with marinated mushrooms, artichoke hearts, pepperoni and shaved Parmagiano Reggiano.
I will sit at the tee and do what I can to help.

I did get him a Father's Day card made last night, though.

Committee salad is romaine, torn bite size, chopped green onions, toasted slivered almonds, some diced avocado and a red wine vinaigrette. I do about 1/4 cup of red wine vinegar, 1/2 cup olive oil, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp dry mustard, 1 or 2 cloves of crushed garlic. Whisk all the dressing ingredients and pour over your greens and toss gently. Haven't met a man yet who didn't love this salad. It was created by the Best of Bridge folks, but I have modified it a lot over the years. They have mandarin orange slices in there and I think they toast sunflower seeds or sesame as well. We prefer it without.

Katy, here's the original that Alix referenced. Sounds delish. Alix's version sounds great, too. What's not to like with something that has avocado in it?
