Yes I am Mudbug,
It's been kinda crappy here for the wind also. It's been making work difficult:rolleyes:
As far as the venison goes, I pretty much like it all. The piece that was given to me would have made a fine roast, or could have been cut into steaks. (I love chicken fried venison steaks) But the weather being what it is made chili an easy choice. The corn bread was a great accompanyment. Gotta love jalopenos;)

We are having company (they are late so I'm here) and decided on a Tex Mex theme. Apps are Creole Shrimp, a queso fundido and Crudites with a roasted red pepper dip. Dinner is baked chicken enchiladas verde and my Tex Mex version of a Caeser salad. So hungry now but I'm bound to be stuffed!

Roasted chicken leg quarters with onions, carrot chunks, potato wedges. All seasoned with basil, thyme, seasoned salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Quiet, lazy night. Nothin' else. Will be on the phone with Buck's mom for a couple of hours as is usual on Friday night.
