What's on your menu 8/28/10?

Ravioli and spinach salad is the plan.

chicken, rice, fresh green beans and vanilla ice cream

yesterday I cut up, fried then simmered parts from two whole chickens and added par-boiled (pressure cooked actually) rice. We will be eating chicken and rice for a while. I will be looking for directions to steam, shock and hold a large quantity of green beans. We have company for the next four days and I want to have easy to serve meals.

A very cool day in L.A. And since I have a lot of free time this afternoon I'd like to play with fire by firing up two cookers outside and do tri-tips and pizza.

Oven baby back ribs

Bacon ranch macaroni salad with sun dried tomatoes, celery, tiny peas, sliced black olives, shredded carrot, green onion, and sunflower seeds. Did it yesterday, the flavors got to know each other now.

Something green, don't know what yet.
