They are really good! Here's a link to their menu. strip
Their hallmark is all sandwiches are topped with cole slaw, tomatoes and french fries, onions by request. It is probably the most famous restaurant in The Burgh. If younz is ever out der ya otta try em.

Born and raised in Western Pennsylvania, died in the wool, Steelers fan! I'm having Mahogany Wings, and making homemade pizzas. Don't know what everybody else is bringing. Since I live in Maryland and won't be celebrating with my family, I'll have some Rolling Rock Beer, which is what I'd be drinking if I was there.

I saw a Food Network special on Primanti Brothers a few years ago. I really want to try it. I need to plan a road trip to Pittsburgh (Panthers fan here).

this year keeping it simple

2x 4 ft heros (italian and american)
Fried Chicken
Ribs
Shrimp platter
Cheese, cracker and pepporni platter
Chips with dip
Chips, Salsa and quacmole
chili dip
Penne Ala Vodka
and tons of desserts.

Last year it was same as above but minus the chicken and ribs and I forgot what its replacing. I think wings and all taht stuff

I did make 2 soups. 1 for each team

New England Clam chowder
and NY Cheddar and broccoli (it was supposed to be Greenbay but demand was high)

3 years in a row now I have taken my chicken pot pie. It is now expected. It's about the only time I'll make it too - it's not exactly figure friendly...unless the figure is round :ermm::pig:

Can I get your recipe? I am looking for a good chicken pot pie!

i never, never never watch football.now i will wait for all the boos and hisses. i am convinced there is only one game, they recolor the uniforms and run the film over and over again. lol

Don't be silly - this is not a football game....this is a 4-hour commercial fest, a concert usually thrown in, with two teams playing some kind of sport...is it football? mmmm...who knew?

While I do not watch football during the season, we do have a Superbowl party every year. It is as good an excuse as any to do what I love most.....cook, eat and party with friends and family.

This year we will have 10 people and the menu consists of:

Reubens
Buffalo wings
Hot Spinach and artichoke dip with tortilla and pita chips
Cold shrimp and artichoke dip with crackers
Smoked pork baby back ribs

Here is the kicker regarding the Reubens and I am totally stoked about it: the brisket I corned came from the Angus calf we raised. I will be cooking that tomorrow and I am making the rye bread today. The sauer kraut I put up from cabbage from our fall garden. I am totally cheating on the 1000 island and Swiss cheese, though.

I am also doing the wings in the turkey fryer and the hot dip. Our guests are bringing everything else.

I am really looking forward to those Reubens!!!! :pig:

I have no one coming over, don't know if DD is going to be here or not but I will have the following because it's what I do.

Sausage Queso Dip
Winnies in BBQ sauce
Sausage Balls
7 Layer Dip
Shrimp
Cheese and Crackers

and I'm debating crab dip. We'll see.

Expect the game kick-off around 6:40 PM Eastern Time -- 5:40 Central Time --- Etc.....
And that's the downside of living on the east coast. I struggle to stay awake when the game starts that late. I may have to take a nap so I can stay up. Never had that problem in California, it always started really early for us out there.

as usual, my dad's avocado dip with sliced bagguette rice torta, stuffed onions, veggie platter and ranch, deviled eggs, clam dip and chips whie bread smooshed with a rolling pin then put on a small amount of butter and then add your finely chopped mushrooms with parsley, finely minced shallots make a roll then brush with melted butter heat in oven and slice into pin wheels, a pre cooed kielbasa wrapped in phylo baked then sliced and served with mustards the main is good sized steak and mushroom sandwishes and potato salad..Desserts ice cream, cake and cream puffs
kadesma

Here is what I heard the menu is going to be: pulled pork sandwiches, layered bean dip, cheese 'n' chili rollups, pistachios, a lot of beer and wine, chips, salsa, sausages in BBQ sauce, veggie platters and a couple of desserts.

finger foods.... so far it's

-baked potao skins (cheddar and bacon, I think)
-chips and dip
-Taquitos (Mark wants a frozen variety and not homemade)

I want to come up with something else, and I'm going to the store in the EARLY morning. It was probably a mad house today and will be late tomorrow afternoon.
