One of the members here actually opened a restaurant in New Orleans. She used to be a regular poster with some wonderful contributions but hasn't posted in a while so maybe you could stop in and invite her back! Her screen name here was Vera Blue and her restaurant is Red Gravy at 125 Camp Street. If you decide to go, tell her Mama sent ya ! I haven't had the opportunity to go yet but I hear that the food is amazing! Here's the link to her website: Red Gravy Cafe

There's a little place called Camellia Cafe I think. It has Camellia in the name. It's a basic burger joint but with a Cajun flare. It's on the street car line.

I did a quick Google search and it's the Camellia Grill on the St. Charles streetcar line. The area is full of all the big old mansions. Beautiful neighborhood.

It's been awhile since we have been there but there was a fun pub in the french quarter called"o'Brians" There were 2 piano's back to back on stage & the hurricane drink was memorable. Also, the court of 2 sisters had excellent oysters rockafeller.
Have fun!
