Vermont State BBQ Championship

The Vermont State Championship BBQ is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, July 26th and 27th. It's located on the grounds of the Harpoon Brewery in Vermont.

It's a great time with lots of great BBQ, music, events etc. Anyone planning to be in the area should consider attending. Suzanne and I go every year. Weather permitting, we'll be there this year too.

They wouldn't be game to have a BBQ at a Brewery here, the Aussies would be fighting back the Kiwis trying to gate crash.

Eating, drinking and people watching. I leave the competitive cooking to the experts.

We've been to a couple of New England BBQ and chili cookoffs, etc. and like this one the best.

I have heard of this. I may be in the area that weekend and will check it out. Sounds great. Last year I was at Wilgus State Park but it was the wrong weekend. Did visit the brewery. Thanks for the reminder.

There will be some BIG competitors there (literally and figuratively). I will be joining up with a Vermont friend this year, and we'll be cooking under his team name, Hog Heaven.

It would be nice if the weather was cool and dry for a change.
