I made this for my SIL's Garden club potluck luncheon...well received!

Fruity Tossed Salad

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

2 heads Romaine lettuce -- washed and torn
into bite-sized pieces
2 cans Mandarin oranges -- drained
1 pint fresh strawberries -- sliced
1/4 sliced red onion
1/2 cup walnuts or pecans (sauteed in butter or
toasted)
Dressing:
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon grated onion
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup oil

In a large bowl, add all salad ingredients. In a small bowl mix together all dressing ingredients except oil. Drizzle oil in slowly while whisking and remain whisking until all ingredients are mixed well. If taking salad to a picnic, take nuts and dressing in separate containers and add when ready to serve. Toss well.
